The company is specialized in treatment of industrial hazardous waste and wastewater containing soluble metals. EPSE has several patents for its technology which was invented by Vesa Rissanen, today EPSE’s technical director. There are several potential application areas for the EPSE™ Method and it has been proven to be applicable with good results in the field of industrial waste treatment as well as mining, energy and steel industry, to name just a few. The process produces a metal-free overflow and an inert multi-metal precipitate. The EPSE™ Method suits particularly well acidic wastewater containing soluble heavy metals. The inert precipitate formed in the EPSE™ Method can be used as a raw material in further processes or it can safely be stored as a landfill waste.
