Miva (Miljö och Vatten i Örnskölsdvik AB) is a municipal corporation within Rodretkoncernen. Domsjö Water is a wholly owned subsidiary of Miva. Miva is responsible for municipal water and sewage in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik. We produce, distribute and sell drinking water and take care of and purify wastewater. Miva is also responsible for collecting, treating and transporting away household waste in the municipality. In addition, Miva is a resource for the treatment and processing of industrial / commercial waste.

Upcoming projects

We are interested in developing new and innovative ways of protecting the environment whilst securing water services and creating good conditions for waste minimisation and recycling. Until 2020, a project is underway to prepare a new water source to secure future water supplies to the main town. Miva is also building four recycling centers to enhance and simplify the recycling of household waste in the country side.
