Rail Test Nordic is to become one of Europe’s leading test track for rail- bound traffic and components in the interior parts of northern Sweden. Disruptions in rail traffic is common and due to several reasons, testing and verification of rail-bound technology will increase in the coming years It is difficult to conduct tests for various situations in real- world environments on Europe's heavily- loaded rail network. However, in northern Sweden the opportunities for testing activities are optimal. Here there are climatic conditions, expertise and the infrastructure to solve the problem. When done, the 75 kilometer long test track will be niched with winter climate and high speed testing and thereby one of it's kind in Europe.
