RISE in Skellefteå has well-run test facilities to investigate the strength and rigidity of products and constructions. We are partly an accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025 which imposes high standards of quality, privacy and impartiality, where the tests often aim to verify characteristics for comparison with standards and regulations. SME Lab aims to create the conditions for greater knowledge about your product. This part of the test bed is often about testing the customers’ products at a stage of development or innovation. Equipment is available for pushing and pulling structures with forces up to 950kN, but we also have equipment for applying and measuring loads of a few Newton. Together with load measurement, it is almost always completed with deformation measurement to produce deformation and/or stiffness. Together with the customer we adjust the testing to fit the specific product.
