RISE in Skellefteå has well-run test facilities to test the strength and rigidity of products and constructions of wood. We are an accredited laboratory according to ISO 17025, which imposes high standards of quality, confidentiality and impartiality. The tests often aim at verifying characteristics for comparison with standards and regulations, or the customers simply want more knowledge about their product. Equipment is available for pushing and pulling structures with forces up to 800kN, but we also have equipment for applying and measuring loads on a few Newton. The load measurement is in general completed with deformation measurement to produce deformation or stiffness. Together with the customer we adjust the testing to fit the specific product.
