Lunalec

LunaLEC develops and manufactures thin and flexible light patches for integration into medtech devices, or into printed electronic smart objects. The LEC (Light-emitting Electrochemical Cell) can be driven by low voltage DC, typically 3-6 Volts, which makes the device mobile. The LEC requires encapsulation similar to OLED, but can be produced in ambient conditions by unsophisticated equipment. This means that it can be produced locally in low volumes at low cost. The LEC structure allows the usage of a wide variety of electrodes, and it can thus shine light in one or two directions. It can also be made metal-free, and allow for recycling like plastic waste.
